SOLD A very collectable Coronation souvenir in the form of a small hand hammered pewter tankard commemorating the Coronation of George VI in 1937.
The front of the tankard has a small medallion about 2 centimeters in diameter bearing the head of the new King and his Queen.
Above the medallion is the Inscription " Stockton Heath" which is a is a civil parish and suburb of Warrington, Cheshire England.
The base of the tankard has the makers name Abbey together with the wording " Hand Hammered"
I am offering this item in an uncleaned, as acquired condition. As a matter of course I do not clean metal items which come in to my possession.
Some may have been regularly polished and some neglected, I leave it up to the next owner to decide how to treat them.
Dimensions are: base diameter 2 inches 5 cm. rim diameter 2 1/2 inches 6 cm. and the item is 3 inches 7 cm tall.SOLD
